1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using PocketBudee (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About PocketBudee

PocketBudee is a personal finance and lifestyle management platform created and maintained by NexSynix. The Service helps users track accounts and transactions, create budgets and goals, view analytics and export data (PDF/CSV), and manage to-do and shopping lists.

The Service is provided as-is and is intended to help users manage and track their finances. The core product is offered free forever.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least the age required by law in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
• To use PocketBudee you must create an account. The Service currently supports sign-up and sign-in via Google OAuth only.
• When you sign up via Google, we receive only the basic profile information you authorize (name, email address, and profile image if available). Users cannot edit these fields within PocketBudee today.
• Keep your Google account secure — access to that account grants access to your PocketBudee account.

4. Information We Collect & How We Use It

What we collect

We only collect the basic Google profile information you share when you sign up/sign in (name, email, profile image). We do not collect additional personal data unless you explicitly provide it (for example, when you add account/transaction data within the Service).

How we use it

We use the information to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Authenticate sessions and secure access (session cookies).
• Provide the Service features you use (budgets, transactions, analytics, exports).

Marketing & third-party sharing

We do not use your email or other profile information for marketing, and we do not sell or share your information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use a third-party reviews widget from Shapo.io for the testimonials/reviews section. If you choose to submit a review via that widget, you may be asked to provide your email directly to Shapo.io — that data is submitted to Shapo.io and not stored or managed by PocketBudee. PocketBudee does not access or control how Shapo uses that data; please review Shapo's terms and privacy policy before submitting a feedback.

5. Security, Authentication & Cookies

We take security seriously and use industry-standard practices to protect your information. Authentication is handled via Google OAuth and sessions are protected using secure session cookies. Maintain the security of your Google account — we are not responsible for access resulting from compromised credentials.

Note: the Service uses session cookies so that only authenticated users can access their data. These cookies are necessary for login and session management.

6. Your Data, Exports & Backups

You remain responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into PocketBudee. You may export your data (PDF, CSV) at any time. We recommend regularly exporting or backing up important financial information.

We may retain backups for disaster recovery, but we do not intentionally keep long-term copies of your financial data beyond what is required to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PocketBudee for unlawful activities, to attempt to access other users' accounts, or to interfere with the Service. Harassment, abuse, or any activity that harms the Service or other users is prohibited. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All designs, code, logos, text, graphics, and other content on the Service are the property of NexSynix or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our permission.

9. Feedback

If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions to PocketBudee, you grant NexSynix a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback into the Service without obligation to you.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, including for breaches of these Terms. If your account is terminated, you may still be able to export certain account data for a limited time; we will provide instructions when possible.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. NexSynix DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXYSYNIX IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Where local laws do not permit limiting liability, some or all of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold NexSynix harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example via the Service or email). Continued use of PocketBudee after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If any dispute arises, it will be handled in accordance with Sri Lankan law.
